I’m a motivated professional engineer, I possess a bachelor of electrical engineering from the University of Queensland and have held multiple engineering roles within the construction and mining industry over the last 13 years.
Starting my career in Brisbane as an Electrical drafter I learnt many aspects of building services design and drafting, this led me into a role as an Electricity network designer providing engineering design for overhead and underground high voltage electricity networks owned by Ergon and Energex Energy.
After graduating from university, I launched into the mining industry as a graduate with Anglo American working at Moranbah North, Capcoal Open Cut, and Foxleigh mines. Providing maintenance, engineering and project management to various areas of the mine from underground and open-cut operations to coal handling process plant facilities.
Since then, I have been working for BHP for the last 7 years at various organizational levels from supervision to engineering and coordination roles in areas including underground longwall reliability, long term asset management and maintenance strategy development, frontline leadership, coordination and management of multiple contractors across all BMA operated coal mines.
Recently, I have provided senior project management leadership of major maintenance shutdowns for open-cut dragline and shovel fleets. Safely delivering machinery shutdown projects free of recordable injuries that are on time and budget. I’m passionate about creating a safe and inclusive culture to deliver exceptional team performance.
